Why FipFlap?

When it came to shopping for a nappy changing bag whilst pregnant with my first child I was looking for a bag in a style and fabric that I would want to carry everywhere with me for the next couple of years! My extensive searches just couldn't find anything that suited me and, more importantly, that was also in my price range! I therefore sat down and sewed myself the orginal FIpFlap - which is still going strong and still taken out with me everyday!

From there I made bags for friends and relatives in fabrics which I knew they would love and received many compliments and requests for more bags!!!!

And so evolved the FipFlap - the flip-out nappy bag - the focus of which has always been to produce a simple yet highly functional product - with an integrated nappy changing mat so there is only one item to grab on the way out of the door instead of two. I am completely committed to producing my bags ethically and in a range of attractive fabrics and also at an affordable price.

I am a Mother of 2 now and my Brighton based company is run in my spare time (!) and currently in the early stages of its journey.

Where are your bags made?

Our bags are currently hand made at the HEBA women's co-operative in Brick Lane, London.

Where do your materials come from?

We take great pleasure in sourcing a wide variety of fabrics. Some we've found on holiday in Morocco and Australia while others are hard sought out organic and fair trade denim and hemp.

Are they washable?

The changing mat is waterproof and wipe clean. We advise that any spillages on the rest of the bags are spot cleaned or warm hand washed.

Will my bag be exactly the same as the one in the photo?

Almost - there may be slight differences in the patterned bags, while they are all made from the same material, as they are hand cut and sewn the position of the pattern may differ from bag to bag.

Can I pay another way?

If you would like to pay by Paypal or any other method then email us with the details of your order and we'l get in touch.

What about delivery?

We charge £5 for first class recorded postage and packing in the UK. For EU or international shipping please contact us form more details. Provided the bag you order is in stock you should receive it within 5-7 days of order.

What if I want to return my bag?

Just send it back to us in unused condition within 7 days of receipt and we'll exchange it or give you a full refund of the purchase price.
